Accessibility
The Martin Berasategi Group is firmly committed to the accessibility of its websites, and one of its wishes is that the contents receive the visit of as many users as possible, regardless of their disability condition.
Accessibility level
For such purpose, all the websites use standard technologies, established by the W3C, and follow the WAI 1.0. Accessibility Guidelines, fulfiling, at least, the A level guidelines.
Used standards
Adopted measures
The language used for the contents and its structure is XHTML 1.1 and, in order to set out the elements and present them graphically, Cascading Style Sheets have been used (CSS ).
Among the main measures adopted to improve accessibility, we have the following:
- Images.
Alternative versions to the images have been included in text mode. - Text size.
The used fonts have relative dimensions; that way, the user can control the size with the browser. - Design, navigation and interactivity.
A coherent navigation has been tried to achieve in the whole website, following the same structural outlines in all the sites. - Direct accesses.
Direct links have been included to access the menus and the contents of the sites. - Also, the information has been separated from its graphic presentation, so the users who want to are able to navigate faster through the contents, by disabling the download of style sheets in their browsers.
